Brown & Dutch PR Wins Gold MarCom Award for Giovanni Cosmetics Historical Timeline Infographic
Marketing Manager Trinity Ondek Honored for Creative Visual Storytelling That Connects 10,000 Years of Hair History with Giovanni’s Hollywood Legacy

MALIBU, Calif., October 22, 2026 — Brown & Dutch PR, Inc. (BDPR), a consumer public relations agency celebrating its 30th anniversary, has earned a 2026 Gold MarCom Award in the Infographic category for its Giovanni Cosmetics Press Kit Historical Timeline: Entertainment Industry History, conceived and designed by the agency’s Marketing Manager, Trinity Ondek. The Gold MarCom Award recognizes not only Ondek’s individual creative achievement but also Brown & Dutch PR’s commitment to developing original, compelling communications tools that transform complex brand histories into stories that resonate with journalists and consumers. The win came from a field of more than 6,000 entries in 40 countries, approximately 18–22%
receiving Gold honors and competitors including Microsoft, IBM, Avon, FINN Partners, 5W Public Relations and Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness, among others.
The award-winning infographic was developed as part of BDPR’s highly successful “OG of Hollywood Haircare” campaign for Giovanni Cosmetics, a pioneering natural haircare brand with a 46-year history and deep roots in the entertainment industry. The campaign generated 366 media placements, more than 1.85 billion earned-media impressions and an ROI exceeding 8,000%, with national and international coverage including Vogue Italia, Forbes, CNN Underscored, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, Daily Mail, Real Simple, Yahoo! Life, The Mirror (US) and BuzzFeed.
Ondek’s infographic takes readers on a witty, visually engaging journey through thousands of years of hairstyling history, beginning with the evolution of human hair and traveling through the bouffants of the 1950s, Twiggy’s pixie cut, Pam Grier’s iconic afro, Farrah Fawcett’s feathered layers, Jennifer Aniston’s “Rachel,” and today’s celebrity-inspired buns and middle parts. Interwoven with these cultural milestones is the extraordinary story of Giovanni Cosmetics, beginning with founder Arthur Guidotti’s Hollywood hairstyling career in 1960, the development of his natural haircare formulations in 1978, and the brand’s evolution into a 175-product
portfolio used by professional hairstylists working backstage at the Oscars, Emmys, Tonys and GRAMMYs — earning Giovanni its own interpretation of entertainment’s coveted E.G.O.T. distinction.
“Trinity has an uncanny, almost instinctive ability to take enormous, complicated ideas and transform them into beautiful, instantly understandable visuals,” said Alyson Dutch, founder and CEO of Brown & Dutch PR. “This infographic is a perfect example. She took 10,000 years of hair history, nearly five decades of Giovanni’s product innovation, Hollywood’s most iconic hairstyles and the brand’s remarkable entertainment pedigree, and made it all come together in one clever, visually compelling story. It’s informative, funny, nostalgic and, most importantly, makes Giovanni’s brand positioning immediately understandable. That’s the magi exceptional infographic design.”
Dutch added, “Trinity joined our agency as an intern five years ago, and watching her grow into such an accomplished creative professional has been one of my greatest pleasures. She has an extraordinary talent for visual communication that is rare at any age. Seeing that talent recognized on an international stage makes me incredibly proud.”
